2025/26 Registrations

Registrations for the 2025/26 summer of cricket are now open.

New this year: both senior and junior registrations are for the full summer of cricket.

For younger juniors brand new to cricket in Years 1 - 4, Smash Play is also a summer option from Northern Districts cricket. Details are still to be confirmed for this summer, but there is usually a Thursday night Hub at Blake Park.

Uniform

Senior cricket.

Playing uniform is supplied by the club for Senior Cricket, as a part of the player registration fee. For off field and training apparel, please contact club management or visit Cricket Express at 6 Tawa Street.

Junior cricket

Junior shirts and hats will be available from early October 2025 for purchase directly in store at Cricket Express at 6 Tawa Street, Mount Maunganui. This is additional to your registration fee, and you will have full ownership of the shirt. Cricket Express is a valued sponsor of our Club. While in store you can register for their MVP Program, earning you points and discounts towards your next purchase.

For softball cricketers, please wear black or dark coloured shorts.

New this year: for our junior hardball cricketers, the Club will provide a pair of green pants. These will be distributed to teams just before the first game in mid October. Owenership of the pants will be retained by the Club. We are very grateful to our sponsors for making this possible.

The registration process will offer a Junior MMCC Hoodie for sale. This is entirely optional - you can skip it by moving on to the Terms and Conditions. The Hoodies will be a custom order to Paladin, and if ordered, will be available in approximately mid November.

Senior cricket

Senior registrations are for the entire 2025/26 summer season.

We also have teams in the WBOPCA and BOPCA Senior Saturday competitions, and a Twilight (business house) competition which is played on Monday and Tuesday nights. Any senior player wanting to join any of these teams, please contact us to enquire further.

Payment: is required at the time of registration via credit card. Please contact us if you are not able to pay via credit card, or if you would like to discuss payment options. We understand that it is a challenging financial environment, and we are here to support your family to enjoy cricket however we can.

Junior cricket

NEW: Junior registrations are also for the entire 2025/26 summer season. The first game is on Saturday 18th October. Games will run until Saturday 13th December (inclusive). Games after Christmas start on Saturday 14th February and continue until Saturday 28th March (inclusive).

Time: Most Junior games are played on Saturday mornings. College Division 5 games are played on Saturday afternoons. Teams ordinarily have one practice session per week.

Grade: To help you choose the right level of cricket, please check here. We will work with you to ensure that it is the best choice for your child to develop their cricket in a fun, safe, and enjoyable environment. Please email us with any questions.

Equipment: We provide team gear bags for use by Junior teams. If you’d like your own cricket gear, we encourage you to visit Cricket Express.

Volunteers: Each junior teams will need at least two parent volunteers to help with coaching, managing, and scoring. Support and development is available to all new & returning coaches and scorers. Co-coaching can be an option too.

Our Club is run entirely by volunteers. If you’d like to help with any aspect of Junior cricket, please email us

Team formation: We expect to confirm teams by early October. We will try our best to group friends together where requested. Each team will need to meet the minimum numbers for the grade. If we are low on numbers for any team or grade, we will work with other Clubs and the Western Bay of Plenty Cricket Association to try to get everyone out onto the park.

Payment: is required at the time of registration via credit card. Please contact us if you are not able to pay via credit card, or if you would like to discuss payment options over a longer time period. We understand that it is a challenging financial environment, and we are here to support your family to enjoy cricket however we can.

PlayHQ: after registration and payment, please check your email for a sign-up link to PlayHQ. This is important as it helps with electronic scoring of games, and it is a requirement of NZ Cricket.
