The Mount Maunganui Cricket Club have added to their strong bowling stocks by acquiring Northern Brave Pace bowler Matt Fisher

The Pacer's commitment to the Cricket Club comes timely, as the Marlins' unfortunately have lost two other representative bowlers in Brett Randell and Dave Hancock, over the current off season.

Premier Skipper, Ben Musgrave, is excited to see the value the pair can add to the premier squad this summer.

"With a couple guys leaving this season, it’s nice to add to the bowling stocks with 'Fish'. I have no doubt he will have a positive impact on the culture and performance of the Club.

Matt Fisher Joins the MMCC as a highly regarded player. His 29 wickets in 22 matches (across all forms) for Northern Districts sees him as one of the Best young quick bowlers in the country. The 22 year old will be sure to bring some genuine pace to the Mount bowling attack, as he is consistently pushing 140KM even going back to his NZ under 19 representative days.

With Pre-season right around the corner, the club is excited to integrate the new recruit and get stuck into the 2022/23 season.
